About the schoolhouse
Sitting along a country road, the charming schoolhouse built in 1927 sits on 3 acres of woods and wildflowers, complete with a firepit and a small field. Inside the schoolhouse, you’ll discover a stunning 700 sq ft studio with a beautifully crafted, naturally sprung wood floor surrounded on two sides by chalkboards and one side by large windows facing West — an inspiring space designed to spark creativity and enhance productivity.
Honeywood Artists Retreat can accommodate up to 9 residents in the facility. Only one artist or performing arts group rents at one time. The building offers 2 small private rooms and a dorm that holds 7. There is a kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
We especially welcome dance and theatre companies.
